Since 2002, Back 2 Basics Tutorial has been providing public and private tutoring services, in all subjects, with a focus in math and reading/language integrated with science and social studies to students in grade K-12. Small (1:5) and large (1:8) group tutoring are offered twice weekly, up to two hours per session afterschool at the student home school and public facilities by certified teachers and non-certified experienced professionals. We allocate extra time, multiple testing sessions or other modifications to accommodate students with disabilities i.e. smaller groups (1:3). The WRAT4 diagnostic assessment is used to determine grade level performance in reading and math. Tests are given after every new lesson to close any gaps identified by the WRAT4 pretests. Typically, students receive 28-32 hours on tutoring, which is approximately 7-8 weeks in length. Transportation is not provided.
